Christmas 2011

We had an ABSOLUTELY perfect Christmas this year. I remember decorating for Christmas last year and telling Craig that I pray we have a little baby decorating with us next year. My 2010 Christmas wish came true and here we are a year later with our precious angel. Spending Christmas with our little family this year was so special. We have so many traditions that we are having so much fun sharing with our baby. Christmas was always so special for both Craig and I growing up...we want to make it equally as special for Dawson as he grows up. It is so much fun being on the mommy side of things for Christmas and doing all the fun things for my family. Here is our Christmas in pictures! This picture is from Dawson's newborn shoot. I can't wait to share the rest of his newborn shoot!
Daddy and Dawson reading on Christmas eve.
Mommy and Dawson Christmas Day
Daddy reading "The Elf on the Shelf" to Dawson. This is a new tradition we are starting with him. It is such a neat idea. Dawson's elf (seen on Craig's shoulder), named Mr. Bean, watches Dawson all year to make sure he is a good boy. A month before Christmas, Mr. Bean will start appearing around the house each year. He will be in spots where he can't be reached (the rules say that kids can't touch their elf or the elf's magic will go away). Every morning Mr. Bean is in a new location...and he is mischievous elf so sometimes...he might have gotten into some trouble during the night. Each night the elf goes back to the north pole and reports Dawson's behavior to Santa! We can't wait to start this tradition with Dawson and see him as he runs through the house each morning looking for Mr. Bean and seeing what he had been up to the night before! Craig and I will have lots of fun with this!
Dawson's "early present"
Dawson's gift from Santa...although, it might be more of a gift to mom than to Dawson :)
Daddy assembling the swing.
Dawson's new rocking chair from his Aunt Wendy and Uncle Kris.
Dawson is his Christmas gear!
Dawson trying out his new chair.
Daddy assembling the rocking chair. I'm guessing Craig will spend many hours each Christmas doing some assembling.
Christmas morning...looking at the stocking goodies.
Look what Santa left in our stockings! He really wants us to take good care of our teeth this year!
Dawson by his stocking.
Getting ready to go to church Christmas night. Dawson was a tired boy and wasn't interested in kisses from mommy and daddy...but he did make it through the entire Christmas service with no tears!
Before church.
Christmas Eve dinner. Turkey! Yummy!
Time to open gifts Christmas night!
We are weird. We hope Dawson gets used to it :).
Mommy's angel.
"oooooo"
